Currently the only Author on Geardump is me, David Hill. I have played in a few Chicago Area bands over the past few years and have amassed an array of gear that has easily consumed most of my financial resources. As time goes on I feel like passing down the information that I have learned in my 10 year guitar playing journey. I play Fender Stratocasters mostly though I also own a Godin and Les Paul. I have a Rivera R30, a Hot Rod Deluxe and a Flextone III XL. On my pedal board I keep things simple with an overdrive, fuzz, phaser or vibe, wah and a compressor. I find that keeping things simple avoids most of the hassles at gigs. No matter how simple I keep it though I try to keep the quality of these items very good though it always seems to be a bit of a revolving door. Make no mistake, my tone comes from my fingers and my heart, the equipment is just a way to translate that to an audience.
